snd_pcm_format_signed()

Check for a signed format

Synopsis:

#include <sys/asoundlib.h>

int snd_pcm_format_signed( int format );

Arguments:

format

The format number (one of the SND_PCM_SFMT_* constants). For a list of the supported formats, see snd_pcm_get_format_name().

Description:

The snd_pcm_format_signed() function checks for a signed format.

Returns:

1

The format is signed.

0

The format is unsigned.

Otherwise, it returns a negative error code.

Errors:

-EINVAL

Invalid format with respect to sign.
