Get the absolute position of a widget

This function gets the absolute position of a widget (i.e. the coordinates
of the upper left corner of the widget's border).
The
coordinates are returned in x and y.

For a window, the x and y coordinates don't include
the frame that's added by the window manager.
Windows don't usually have borders. |
