islower()

Test a character to see if it's a lowercase letter

Synopsis:

#include <ctype.h>

int islower( int c );

Arguments:

c

The character you want to test.

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The islower() function tests for any lowercase letter a through z.

Returns:

Nonzero if c is a lowercase letter; otherwise, zero.

Examples:

produces the output:

Char A is not a lowercase character
Char a is a lowercase character
Char z is a lowercase character
Char Z is not a lowercase character
